I apologize for the long absence - it was a much longer break than I intended. Thank you for the e-mails of concern and the encouragement to get back to painting. The whole holiday season was a busy rush as always, but mix in a round of stomach viruses, shifting my studio to a different room, a sudden flurry of company visiting that we literally had not seen in 3 to 5 years, then yet another round of stomach viruses, and you can see why it has taken me a while to get back to it. The important part of course is that I did make it back to the easel!
This is a painting of the little red shoes my daughter wore for Christmas (and any other time she can get her hands on them before I grab her tennies). She has officially progressed to "toddler" shoe sizes now - isn't it amazing how fast little feet grow?
